Situated in the vibrant district of Swabi, Seena Institute of Medical Sciences Swabi has been a beacon of premier medical education since its inception in 2010. Our campus, nestled near Mal Lar Swabi on the bustling Swabi Jehangira main road, is a hub of learning and innovation.
Beginning its journey with the launch of comprehensive two-year diploma programs in areas such as health, laboratory, dental, anesthesia, pharmacy, radiology, and surgical technologies, SIMS has progressively broadened its educational spectrum. By 2014, we had already integrated the F.Sc program in Medical and Engineering fields into our robust curriculum.
Continuing our growth trajectory, SIMS introduced courses such as L.H.V., C.M.W., and C.N.A. in 2017. These programs, affiliated with the esteemed Pakistan Nursing Council (P.N.C.) Islamabad, are designed to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. Expanding further, we initiated the B.S. Allied Health Sciences four-year program in 2018 in three disciplines: MLT, Dental, and Anesthesia. This innovative curriculum is proudly affiliated with the Khyber Medical University (K.M.U.) Peshawar.
Our recent introduction of three additional disciplines in B.S. Allied Health Sciences – Surgical, Radiology, and Health – underlines our commitment to diversifying medical education to cater to societal needs. In 2019, we added the Category-B (Pharmacy Assistant) program, which is accredited by the Pharmacy Council Peshawar. The students of SIMS have repeatedly demonstrated academic excellence, securing numerous accolades at the provincial level from Khyber Medical University.
Our state-of-the-art institute boasts a spacious four-story building, with dedicated floors for B.S. students and Paramedics. Facilities include a 400-seat auditorium, a modern conference room, and 15 well-equipped, tech-advanced lecture rooms complete with multimedia, sound systems, and air conditioning. Our fully equipped laboratories and dedicated teaching rooms promote immersive learning, while our skills laboratory helps foster practical acumen.
The curriculum at SIMS adheres strictly to the guidelines specified by the Khyber Medical University Peshawar, but we also embrace innovation by incorporating problem-based learning and interactive teaching strategies. We place special emphasis on behavioral science and medical ethics, promoting the holistic development of our students, instilling them with the moral values and ethics that define great practitioners.
Practical training is integral to our teaching methodology. Students are offered clinical teaching and practice at the renowned Bacha Khan Medical Complex (BKMC), District Headquarters Hospital (D.H.Q.) Swabi, and the Seena Medical and Surgical Complex Swabi, allowing for hands-on learning from seasoned health professionals.
